MATTI PIKKUJÄMSÄ
Matti Pikkujämsä graduated from Aalto University School of Art. His imagination draws on the specific features of Finnish everyday life, which he presents with the necessary dose of humor and persuasiveness. For example, his series of textiles with sauna motifs will almost absorb you to the point that you can hear the steam coming from the sauna stoves and muffled Finnish voices in the background. In addition to collections for Lapuan Kankurit, he also designs textiles for Kauniste, where his motifs appear on pillows and, recently, porcelain.
