LISA JOHANSSON-PAPE
The career of the legendary Finnish designer was long and varied. She originally studied furniture design, but the war led her to design lighting fixtures. She also worked at the legendary Iittala glassworks and made her mark in many places in Finland with lighting fixtures for hospitals, churches and even ships. She mainly used enameled metal, acrylic and glass as materials, and her typical feature was the focus on functionality and pleasant light. Her lamps won the prestigious silver and gold medals for design at the Milan Triennale.
