YKI NUMMI
Yki Nummi is considered one of the most remarkable Scandinavian designers of the 20th century. He designed hundreds of lighting fixtures, the most famous of which are the Modern Art table lamp and the Lokki pendant lamp. He first studied mathematics and physics before earning a degree from the Institute of Applied Arts in Helsinki. This gave him a solid theoretical foundation, especially in the relationship between light and color. He won prestigious gold medals for his work at the Milan Triennale.
