The Milano 3 design lamp was designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1968 and incorporated his legendary melting ice texture, which can also be seen in his Ultima Thule collection for Iittala. The WIR-80 KRS LED bulb with a metal base adds a pleasant atmosphere of timeless Finnish design to the interior and looks great on its own or in a composition of several pieces.

The lamp consists of a dimmable LED light source made of glass, a brushed metal base, a transparent cable and a ceiling cap.

TAPIO WIRKKALA
Tapio Wirkkala is one of the most famous names in Finnish design. He spent a large part of his career working for Iittala, for which he also designed the iconic Ultima Thule glass collection. However, his brilliant sense of design has also been put to good use when designing Finnish banknotes. He was the artistic director of the University of Arts and Design in Helsinki for many years and his success is confirmed by many awards, such as 6 gold medals from the Triennale in Milan.
