The Birds by Toikka collection began in 1972, when Finnish designer Oiva Toikka created their first series. Since then, he has surprised us every year with new glass birds, and in total, he has designed an incredible 400 pieces. In addition to their unusual decoration, they are also valuable as collectors' items, as they are produced in limited editions.

OIVA TOIKKA
Oiva Toikka is one of the most important Finnish designers. He is mainly engaged in glassmaking, in which he was first famous for the Kastehelmi collection. Like his ever-growing collection of iconic birds, it has been produced for over half a century. In a large part of his creations, he is inspired by the technical obstacles in glass production. He has received a number of awards for his work, including the prestigious Kaj Franck Design Prize and the World Glass Now 85 Award.
