The wooden base is made of solid pine wood from Finland. No chemicals are used in the production process , as pine wood is naturally antibacterial. The wood supplier is PECF certified and the sustainably sourced wood itself is also certified. This way, the material used can be traced back to where the tree was planted.

Hetkinen soaps are made in a factory in the Finnish city of Turku and wooden bases in the town of Raasepori.
