Design: Elina Helenius
The high-quality large Venla dining table tablecloth by Finnish designer Elina Helenius draws inspiration from traditional crafts, history and stories. The structure of the pattern is reminiscent of the coarser fabrics worn by rural artisans. The goal was to create an honest and grounded pattern that does not look old-fashioned. The tablecloth is ideal for everyday dining as well as special occasions. An ironed tablecloth looks sleek and elegant, but if you leave the linen naturally wrinkled, it doesn't matter at all - it's a natural part of its charm.
The Venla tablecloth is woven from 100% linen and uses so-called mottled yarn - a combination of two colors that creates a soft, vibrant color impression. A striking detail is a decorative stripe made of coarser yarn, which gives the fabric depth and a hand-woven character.
