Design: Alvar Aalto
A vase by world-famous designer Alvar Aalto, designed for the Savoy Hotel in Helsinki in 1936. At the time, the young and unknown Alvar Aalto presented his brilliant collection of vases inspired by Finnish lakes at the Paris exhibition, where he amazed the whole world. The legendary vase immediately became an icon of Finnish design, which does not age even after 80 years and you can still admire its curves and pass it on as a family heirloom.
Alvar Aalto never defined what the vase should be used for, but rather left the decision up to us. This freedom is the secret of his timeless design. You can fill the vase with fresh flowers or leave it empty, which will highlight its original design even more. The glass is tinted with a high-quality pigment that creates a uniform mossy shade. Packaged in a gift box.
